Animal Cruelty

On Friday, September 25 at 6:03 a.m., deputies responded to the 4100 block of Old York Road in Monkton for the report of two horses, Chantilly “Tilly” Lace and Hey Kid, that had been shot. One was deceased when the caller arrived at the farm, the second tried to get up when she arrived but died shortly thereafter (before deputies arrived) in the pasture. Initial investigation indicates the horses may have been shot sometime between 11:20 p.m. and 12:00 a.m.

The investigation is active and ongoing; anyone with information is asked to call the
Harford County Sheriff’s Office.
