Deputies from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Edgewood man, Saturday, after an armed robbery that occurred early that day.
On February 2, 2019, at approximately 12:52 am., deputies assigned to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Southern Precinct responded to the 7-Eleven in the 3900 block of Pulaski Highway in Abingdon for the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, deputies were informed four unknown individuals had robbed the store at approximately 12:45 a.m. During the robbery, three of the suspects displayed handguns. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash, lottery tickets, cigarettes and other items and fled the area on foot.
Through investigation, one of the suspects was identified as Darius Pittman. A search warrant was executed on his residence in the 800 block of Olive Branch Court in Edgewood at approximately 8:47 p.m. Pittman was taken into custody and evidentiary items were seized. Deputies transported Pittman to the Harford County Detention Center and charged him with armed robbery, robbery, assault and other related charges. He is currently being held without bail.
Detectives are continuing the investigation into the identity of the additional three suspects. The investigation is ongoing. There are no further details being released at this time.
