A man and two women are in custody, and another man is being sought by deputies in connection with burglaries that occurred at two businesses located in the 2200 block of Churchville Road in Bel Air during the early morning hours of March 18th, 2016.
At 4:11 a.m., patrol deputies with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Northern Precinct responded to the Dunkin Donuts located in the 2200 block of Churchville Road for the report of an in progress commercial burglary. Upon arrival, responding deputies discovered that the suspects had made entry into the Dunkin Donuts. During a canvas of the immediate area, deputies found that a neighboring business, Main Street Cigar, was also the target of a burglary. Initial investigation revealed the burglaries took place immediately prior to the first units’ arrival on scene and two individuals had fled the scene on foot.
Deputies immediately canvassed the area with K-9 Units from the Bel Air and Havre de Grace Police Departments and a Maryland State Police Helicopter with negative results. Deputies from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Division, Northern Precinct Patrol, Criminal Investigations Division, as well as Troopers with the Maryland State Police established a perimeter and worked throughout the day, with additional assistance from the Maryland Natural Resources Police, searching for the two suspects.
Detectives from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Services Unit responded to the scene and assumed the investigation of both burglaries.
At approximately 9 a.m., Detectives working the perimeter located a suspect vehicle, initiated a stop of the vehicle, and took three individuals into custody for investigation of their involvement in the burglaries.
They are identified as Harold Carter, 24 of Pine Hill, New Jersey; Crystal Hughes, 27, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Asia Foreman, 24, of Camden, New Jersey. Carter is charged with two counts of burglary, theft and malicious destruction of property. Hughes and Foreman are charged with being accessories to the burglary, after the fact.
The search for a fourth suspect, Blaze Lavan Jerome Hollingsworth, 26, of Camden, New Jersey is continuing. Hollingsworth is described as a black male, with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5’10” and 190 pounds. He is considered armed and dangerous. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Schools in the search area were placed in modified lockdown status out of an abundance of caution while law enforcement searched for Hollingsworth. Harford County Public Schools and the Harford County Sheriff’s Office coordinated security coverage and protection at schools near active search areas.
