A man is in custody, charged in connection to a stabbing in Edgewood that occurred on December 7, 2021.
Following the initial investigation into the stabbing initiated by patrol deputies from the Southern precinct, the investigation was assumed by detectives with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division. Detectives were supported by investigators with the Sheriff’s Office Forensic Services Unit.
Through investigation efforts, it was determined Richard Klunk, 30, was involved in an altercation on December 7, in front of the Cricket Wireless store located in the 1900 block of Pulaski Highway. The altercation escalated and Klunk was stabbed. Emergency services were dispatched. Upon deputies arrival, they discovered Klunk, who had been stabbed in the upper body. Medics transported Klunk to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
As the investigation continued, Daetron Shikee Williams, 19, of Edgewood was developed as the suspect. On January 6, 2022, an arrest warrant was obtained by detectives for Williams charging him with 1st and 2nd-degree assault. Deputies assigned to the Warrant Apprehension Unit took Williams into custody in Harford County on January 10, 2022, without incident.
