Windsor Valley Resident’s Day with Harford County First Responders

August 21, 2019

This weekend saw another successful Windsor Valley Resident’s Day with Harford County First Responders! For the fourth year, Deputy Shawn Severn organized the event which included face painting, a K9 demonstration, corn hole, flag football, and tons more fun!! More than 200 people attended this year! This is a great way for first responders to interact with our community, and Shawn Severn shows how much he really cares for our community by organizing this event each year!

Thank you to all our local vendors and community members who donated to the event!

Ripken Baseball Camp

August 15, 2019

This week, deputies with the Sheriff’s Office had a blast working with the youth at the Ripken Baseball Camp. Working with them on the fundamentals of baseball, it’s a great opportunity for our deputies to bond with kids from around the country, and show there is more to a Law Enforcement Officer than just a badge!

Congratulations to ELC30!

Who wants some lemonade!?

August 12, 2019

Deputy LeBrun stopped by Abbie’s lemonade stand over the weekend to buy something cool to drink and support a young local entrepreneur!

Congratulations to EL-34!

August 8, 2019

Tonight they graduated from the academy! This group included law enforcement officers from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office, Cecil County Sheriff’s Office and Elkton Police.

We’d also like to thank Representative Andy Harris for giving the keynote address.

This awards ceremony was also special, because for the first time a recruit received an agency award. Recruit (now Deputy) Tyler Dailey (Who was also class valedictorian) was awarded the Sheriff’s Office Life Saving Award along with DFC Michael Burgess and DFC Christian Nadeau. Just a few weeks ago, Deputy Dailey was traveling off duty when he witnessed DFC Burgess performing CPR. He stopped to assist, and DFC Nadeau arrived with an AED. With their combined efforts, the woman being treated regained a pulse!

Join us in congratulating all these fine young men and women, and wish them the best as they begin their career in Law Enforcement.

Bel Air Moose Lodge #1952 Public Safety Recognition Night

April 27, 2019

On Friday, April 19, the Bel Air Moose Lodge #1952 held their Public Safety Recognition Night, recognizing public safety workers from throughout Harford County.

This year, they recognized Deputy First Class Brittany Kinnear of the Southern Precinct. DFC Kinnear was among the first public safety workers on the scene of the horrific crash that happened in March on Route 24 and her actions that day saved at least one life.

Congratulations DFC Kinnear, thank you for your outstanding heroism and true embodiment of what it means to be a Harford County Deputy!
