Detectives Investigate Two Armed Robberies at Same Business

[January 13, 2016, Edgewood, MD] Detectives with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office, Criminal Investigation Division are investigating two armed robberies that occurred at the Papa John’s Pizza in the 100 block of Woodbridge Center Way in Edgewood in less than a week. Based on preliminary information, Detectives do not believe the robberies are related.

On Sunday morning, at approximately 12:15 a.m., patrol deputies assigned to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Southern Precinct responded to the business for the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that after the business closed, two unidentified males shattered the front door, and entered the store. One of the suspects produced a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of money. Both suspects fled in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported. Deputies on the scene requested the assistance of additional units, to include a Sheriff’s Office K9, to canvass the area. A canvas of the area did not locate the suspects.

Patrol Deputies assigned to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Southern Precinct again responded to Papa John’s Pizza on Tuesday at approximately 8:30 p.m. for the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, deputies determined a black male suspect entered the store, approached the counter and produced a handgun. The suspect demanded cash and fled with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported. Deputies on scene canvassed the area with assistance from a Sheriff’s Office K9, but were unable to locate the suspect.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division has assumed both investigations. Anyone with information is asked to call the Harford County Sheriff’s Office. Persons having information regarding the crimes who wish to remain anonymous may report their information through the following methods listed below. Qualifying tips submitted to the tip lines that lead to an arrest and indictment may be eligible for up to $2,000.00 in rewards.
