Detectives with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the deaths of a 76-year-old Jarrettsville woman and her 75-year-old husband found deceased inside their residence.
On October 31, at approximately 9:58 a.m., deputies assigned to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Northern Precinct responded to the 3600 block of Duxbury Court in Jarrettsville, MD after a family member found the husband and wife deceased in the home.
Deputies made entry into the residence and located the male and female deceased in separate rooms. Each suffered, what the initial investigation indicates to be, an apparent gunshot wound; they were pronounced dead at the scene.
Patrol deputies secured the scene and the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division was requested to respond and assume the investigation. Detectives assigned to the Forensic Services Unit responded to process the scene for evidence. Both individuals were transported to the Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine cause and manner of death.
This investigation remains active and ongoing. The identities of the deceased and any further details will not be released at this time. The motive and time of death is still undetermined.
